Imperial College London Spinout Biocentis to Develop Genetic Tech to Control Harmful Insects

Biocentis has received investment to use gene-editing to control insect populations that harm health, food security and biodiversity. The biotech startup, founded in 2022 by Imperial researchers in partnership with professionals in venture management, leverages over 15 years of internationally acclaimed research conducted at Imperial College London. The aim is to develop next generation insect control solutions that are both environmentally friendly and incredibly effective.
